Terms of Service.
The terms you agree to when you buy from Bindicator or use this site.
Last updated: 5 May 2026
1. About these terms
This site (bindicator.net) is operated by Bindicator, a sole trader registered in Australia (ABN 21 137 549 103). When we say "we", "us", or "Bindicator", we mean that business. When we say "you", we mean the person buying or using the site.
By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. The product
We sell the Bindicator: a small Wi-Fi-connected lamp that lights up the night before bin collection. The product description, photos, and specifications on the site are accurate at the time of publication, but minor variations may occur (for example, between manufacturing batches).
3. Pricing and currency
Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) for customers in Australia and in pounds sterling (GBP) for customers in the United Kingdom. Prices include any applicable GST or VAT unless stated otherwise.
We currently ship only to Australia and the United Kingdom. We may decline orders from other countries.
We try hard to keep prices accurate. If a price is obviously wrong (for example, listed at $1 instead of $35), we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
4. Placing an order
When you click "Buy Now" and complete checkout via Stripe, you make an offer to buy the Bindicator at the displayed price. We accept your offer when we send you an order confirmation email. A binding contract is formed at that point.
We may decline an order for any reasonable reason, including suspected fraud, an obvious pricing error, or stock unavailability. If we decline, we'll refund any payment in full.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. By paying, you agree to Stripe's terms.
6. Shipping and risk
We aim to dispatch within 1 to 2 business days. Delivery times depend on the carrier and your location.
Risk in the goods (responsibility for loss or damage) passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, contact us and we'll work with the carrier to make it right.
See our shipping page for current shipping options and times.
7. Returns and refunds
We offer a 30-day return window with seller-paid return shipping for any reason, plus a 3-year warranty on manufacturing defects. Full details are on our refund policy and warranty pages.
8. Your statutory consumer rights
If you're in Australia: our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You're also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
If you're in the United Kingdom: nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer law, including the right to receive goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
Our voluntary 30-day returns and 3-year warranty are in addition to these statutory rights, not instead of them.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law (and subject to your statutory consumer rights, which we do not exclude), our total liability to you for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (for example, missed bin collections) arising from your use of the product.
10. Intellectual property
The Bindicator name, logo, product designs, photos, and site copy are owned by us. You may not reproduce, copy, or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
11. Reviews and user content
If you submit a review, you confirm it's your own honest opinion and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, edit (for length or clarity), and republish it on the site and in marketing.
We may decline or remove reviews that contain personal attacks, illegal content, or that aren't genuine customer experiences.
12. Privacy
See our privacy policy for how we handle your information.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of New South Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country gives you the right to bring proceedings somewhere else.
14. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. The version that applies to your order is the one posted at the time you place the order.
15. Contact
Email [email protected] or use the contact form. We aim to respond within 1-2 business days.
